Power Stability Analysis and Evaluation Criteria of Dual-Infeed HVDC with LCC-HVDC and VSC-HVDC

This paper analyzes the power stability of hybrid dual-infeed high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) system containing a line commutated converter-based HVDC (LCC-HVDC) and voltage source (VSC-HVDC). First, concept calculation method for are introduced. Second, influence VSC-HVDC on is investigated. Third, relationship between effective short circuit ratio (ESCR) discussed under different parameters. Then, value range critical determined. Finally, evaluation criteria proposed. The results show that single-infeed LCC-HVDC can still be used, if in constant AC control mode; reactive mode, cannot operate stably when ESCR less than 2.0 with high margin greater 3.0. index used to measure system.
